CHARLOTTE & CRAIG
Orlando, Florida
From the beginning, Charlotte and Craig knew they wanted their wedding to be vibrant, verdant, and full of sentimental touches. They chose the Dr. Phillip’s Center for Performing Arts, as they both love theater and Craig’s family had been patrons for many years. The ceremony took place on the stage, flanked by towering arrangements of pink, red, and purple florals, a scattering of ferns (a nod to the reception that followed), and a backdrop of black drapery with pinholes imitating starlight. With their sweet dog Duke standing by, the couple said “I do” as friends and family looked on from the audience.
On a trip to Las Vegas, the couple had spent an evening in a restaurant where greenery covered the ceiling and knew they wanted to recreate that lush atmosphere for the reception. We hung hundreds of ferns from the rafters, adding cardinals to represent loved ones who had passed on. Colorful florals, citrus (a nod to Craig’s family), and candlelight lined mirrored tables, reflecting the leafy ceiling. A custom dance floor featured the watercolors and monograms from their invitations. Finally, one of the most fun details of the night was a special request from Charlotte: swings! Covered in florals, a set of swings hung from the ceiling and made for a unique photo opportunity.
